Nop Khet

Aged 82, resides with her children and is currently unemployed. She endured significant hardships during the Khmer Rouge regime, which she finds challenging to articulate. At times, she was taken to remote locations with the intention of executing her, but she pleaded fervently for her life, ultimately being spared. As a woman, she was denied access to education and was instead instructed to produce fertilizers by toiling with soil and cultivating vegetables for the Khmer Rouge. The trauma inflicted upon her during that period makes it difficult for her to recollect the arduous experiences, as she wishes to avoid reliving them. She tragically lost two of her siblings at the hands of the soldiers.
