Peou Thay, aged 77, presently resides at home. She was born into a family facing severe financial difficulties. Throughout the Khmer Rouge regime, she endured grueling labor, being tasked with lifting heavy dirt to construct Mlech dams. She suffered from inadequate nutrition due to limited food availability. Given her advanced age, her recollection of the regime is limited as she has forgotten many of those experiences.
