TUNN AUN

Tunn Aun, aged 67, is a farmer who experienced significant memory loss; however, she recollects being assigned to various manual labor tasks such as transporting dirt, fertilizer preparation, and construction of Mlech dams during the regime. Because of the Khmer Rouge’s rule, Tunn Aun’s education was abruptly halted in the 3rd grade, and she was compelled to undertake farm labor instead. In an attempt to evade the soldiers, she fled and ultimately settled in the village of Bak Nim. During her escape, Tunn Aun witnessed a harrowing event of individuals with their hands tied to the back being taken away to be killed, leaving an indelible impression on her mind.
