Hean Hai, aged 54, currently works as a farmer in Bak Nim village. During the Khmer Rouge regime, she was deprived of the opportunity to receive an education, as she was assigned tasks such as plowing the land, lifting dirt, and cutting leaves to create fertilizers in Takeo. The soldiers forcibly separated her from her family, and any attempt to reunite with them would have resulted in death. Out of fear, she managed to escape the soldiers by seeking refuge in a lake. Due to her young age at the time, her memories of that period are scarce.
