Hou Mala, female, 55 years old, and is a farmer. During the Khmer Rouge, she was only 9 years old and was assigned by Angkar to dig for land and pick up cow dung through different areas. Furthermore, she was ordered to harvest and carry 100 wheats daily. She also has seen many kids of her age tortured and dying in tunnels and on the street. She was terrified that something like that would happen to her, she kept her head low and worked relentlessly.
