Khuy Saret, aged 59, is presently engaged in farming. During the Khmer Rouge regime, he was placed in the children’s unit and tasked with lifting heavy dirt for the construction of Mlech Dam. He witnessed people being tied together and executed on charges of betrayal. His education progressed until grade 4 before it was abruptly halted due to the presence of the Khmer Rouge. Following liberation, he resumed his studies, successfully completed his education, and obtained his diploma. He relocated to Bak Nim village and became a police officer there.
