My name is Nou Chailen who has been contributing to my family by assisting with household duties. While I am open to studying anywhere, my ultimate goal is to establish a salon in my village. Unfortunately, financial constraints and transportation challenges led to my discontinuation of education in 11th grade. However, I was fortunate to receive an opportunity to volunteer with DC-Cam. While initially nervous about interviewing unfamiliar villagers, I faced and overcame various obstacles, including being mistaken for a nuisance and almost being chased down by an elderly lady with a knife. Despite these challenges, I learned a great deal from my experiences, including gaining insight into the history of Khmer Rouge and the local community, as well as honing my oral and written communication abilities.
