Ou Phally, aged 43, is currently employed as a farmer. Being born in 1980, she did not experience the Khmer Rouge regime. She was unable to complete her studies, only reaching grade 9, before embarking on a career as a construction worker. However, she was subsequently assigned the role of a soldier in Bak Nim village. Although she did not personally live through the Khmer Rouge regime, Ou Phally devoted her life to serving as a soldier, participating in conflicts such as the one that erupted in Preah Vihear province and at Ta Mann temple.
