The sun is golden that shines in the blue sky, spreading its warmth to the earth below. A man in blue was gardening in his front wooden house and noticed me and my team walking towards him as he welcomed us inside his humble wooden house. We introduced ourselves and began to interview. He started off by saying,” My name is Hong Kroeum. I am 58 years old and currently I work as a carpenter. I have forgotten a lot about the past because it was painful to remember. All I could say was there were Vietnamese soldiers heading into the village when I was still studying around 1975. Then when I turned 12, I was forced to work a lot.” With no answers left to be said, we stood up and said our goodbyes.
