Neang Thida, aged 53, currently serves as a soldier. Throughout the Khmer Rouge regime, she was placed in the children’s unit and received an education up to grade 4, although she struggled academically. Due to her family’s financial struggles, she had to abandon her studies and assume the care of her four siblings. Being young at the time, her recollection of the regime is limited.
