Nget Ny

Nget Ny is a 59-year-old farmer who was a part of the mobile unit brigade during the Khmer Rouge era. Subsequently, he was assigned the role of a guard on the border of Vietnam. When the Vietnamese military entered Cambodia in 1978, everyone was liberated from the oppressive regime, and Ny returned to his hometown to resume his livelihood as a farmer. Due to his family’s limited financial resources, Ny’s education was inadequate during his early years. Nevertheless, after the liberation, he was given the opportunity to read and write, which aided in his personal growth and development.In pursuit of a new beginning, Ny relocated with his wife to Bak Nim village in 1996. Despite the challenges that come with starting a new life in an unfamiliar location, Ny persevered and worked hard to establish himself in the community.
